Twilight Sucks (Part 3 and perhaps the final part)

Finally, I can put aside my hatred towards this whole crappy vampire title because now, almost the whole world agrees that New Moon (the movie) sucks; and maannnn, it feels good. Makes me feel that my friends and I aren't the alone in this world to be able to see why the Twilight Saga sucks (in fuckin' matrix code, muthafucka).

I didn't watch or even read the novel, but I did watch Twilight and judging by the trailer of New Moon, I knew that it's gonna be yet another teen girl money-sucking mainstream emo romance fantasy crap. But then again, I said "almost the whole world" which means there are still some sad fangirls and gay dudes who still thinks that the show is one of the best movies ever this year. And I'm pretty sure it's only because of the good looking poor actors in it. No offense, girls, but this is usually why you have bad taste in movies: Emo romance plot + charming good looking (good or bad) actor = Very Good Movie.

"Based on 187 reviews collected by the film aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes, New Moon has received a "Rotten" rating of 30%, with a weighted average score of 4.7 out of 10.

Mick Lasalle from the San Francisco Chronicle responded with a more mixed review, stating, "[E]xpect this film to satisfy its fans. Everybody else, get ready for a bizarre soap opera/pageant, consisting of a succession of static scenes with characters loping into the frame to announce exactly what they're thinking."[89] Digital Spy gave the film 2 stars out of 5, praising Kristen Stewart for "carrying the film on her shoulders and, once again, bringing plenty of soul to a character who might otherwise come across as self-indulgent", but was critical of its lack of action, ultimately calling it "a draining experience".[90] Roger Ebert gave the film 1 star out of 4 and said that it "takes the tepid achievement of Twilight, guts it, and leaves it for undead."[91] Richard Roeper graded New Moon with a C- and called it a "plodding, achingly slow, 130-minute chapter in the saga."

1984

After watching this movie based on a novel of the same name called Nineteen Eighty-Four (I think even the story of the famous V for Vendetta was based on this novel), some of the songs that I've been hearing for for awhile make more sense now. Songs like Resistance, United States of Eurasia and Citizens Erased by Muse; and 2+2=5 by Radiohead.

The reason why I've actually bothered to look for the movie was because of my recent addiction Muse's Resistance. The lyrics made me curious of what it actually means. Both the song and 1984 have a similar sadness and questions of totalitarianism and love. I wonder if there's any hope for North Korean citizens who are, well, somewhat "erased". But I think it's normal for them now as they are all kept from being exposed to what's outside of their nation for quite some time now. Which still sucks. I can't imagine being one of them.

Hugh Laurie @ Dr. Gregory House

He is one talented British bugger I tell you. Here's some of his hilarious skits from A Bit of Fry & Laurie before acting in House. I think he should end that now boring and predictable, obsolete series and start a new show. He's more popular now and as long as he still has that touch of humor, he'd make it.

Facebook Magic?

One of my friends posted this as his status;

"Try this Cheap Facebook Trick! Press Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, b, a, Enter then left click Then Scroll Up And Down up & down and magic circles will appear! lmfao! To stop this - refresh your page THIS WORKS - TRY IT! THEN COPY & PASTE THIS TO YOUR STATUS! interesting!!"

.. and I thought it was surely some kind of a bluff but I've tried and it actually really did work. Shiny circles started popping out whenever I scroll or click on the page. It only works on the main page I think. But it's still pretty neat. Which button or banner triggers this I wonder.

Found some really cracking pics in an anti-Twilight Facebook group.
